Morib Fun Run 28 Dec 2014

As scheduled, my sister and brother-in-law fetched me at my mother's house at about 5.10am for our Morib Fun Run event. When we reached there it was still dark and not so many people. After registration we went for solat subuh at nearby surau. Since there was still time before the run start, we took some photos. Run was supposed to start at 7am, but due to so many participants were late, the run started quite late. My sister and I were in the Women Veteran catogery, brother in law in the Senior Men Veteran category. While waiting for the start time, I heard they announced that there were 82 participants registered under the women veteran but only 40 had checked-in so far. That's good news, because we aimed to get the medal, so if not many come, the chances would be better for us! Hehe..In total there were 1000 registered participants.  I noticed few indian children running without their shoes on, I guess they feel more comfortable and faster that way.  We managed to finish th...

Morning brisk walk

Yay!! I managed to drag my lazy body to go for my usual brisk walk this morning.  I have not been going to my usual morning brisk walk since I came back from the Team Building in November. I normally go for my brisk walk at about 4.45am to 5.45am every morning to keep fit. I love eating nasi, especially nasi lemak so I must exercise otherwise I would be so over weight. I also need to start exercising to prepare for my next run. My sister and I have registered for Morib Fun Run on 28th Dec. It is a 5km run along the beach, sounds romantic right! I have participated in several run events so far, it was fun, but most of the time I would walk though! Hehe..but the ultimate excitement was when I reached the end point and got the medal. For this Morib Fun Run, I understamd that there are only 1000 medal, so I must make sure to be among the first 1000 to reach the end point otherwise I won't get the medal. Here are some photos of me and friends taken during the past run events. I will sha...

STTJ Gals Gathering

At last the long awaited STTJ Gals gathering that my friend, Yatie As and I organized took place. I wore my red long dress + cardigan, red shoes and red shawl. I brought along the door gifts i.e. German cookies in small jar and 3 beauty basket for the lucky draw prizes. My friend, Yatt fetched me at my house at about 2pm. When we reached the club, few friends were already there, all wearing red attire, beautiful.  Eventhough only 15 turned-up,  but the event went well and we had fun.  We started with taking solo photo session and signing the Guest Book at the Coffee House. Then we proceeded to the Bowling Center for the bowling tournament. There were 5 prizes.  It was kind of hard to play in long dress.  Finished with bowling, we cut the 30th anniversary cakes baked and brought by Aziah and Leha.  Then, prize giving time for the bowling tournament, gift exchange (everyone  was asked to bring one gift below RM20) and lucky draw.  We s...

'Replanting of Oil Palm' project

My sisters and I are into this project currently.  We plan to start replanting oil palm on our father's existing oil palm plantation which is about 2 acres. We discussed and target to start at the end of this month. The process would be: felling, shredding, lining & holing. A contractor has been identified to do all these at  the cost of RM3,200. We will buy 120 oil palm seedlings which cost RM11/seedling. These seedlings will start bearing fruits after 2 years and will last for 10 years. As I won't be able to be at the site when the contractor starts the work, I have asked my elder sister to take some photos to share in my blog. I will keep posting the status/news as and when there is new development.

Crossbody/Sling handbag

I love crossbody or I would prefer to call it sling small handbag. I have orange, yellow and red color for work. If I go for holiday,  I will take my colorful Desigual bag which is much bigger, so that I can fit in more things such as small mineral bottle. I always want to own a Chanel red color sling bag, have been thinking about it for quite some time. But the price is expensive, so I do not want to rush..What can I put in my small handbag? I always get this kind of question as you know, ladies always have many things to bring along. Let's see...some money, lip gloss, small tube of hand lotion, touch&go card, foldable spectacles, AIA medical card, one small tissue packet and few shawl pin for emergency case (for those who wear hijab shawl would understand the meaning). Photo of my handbags..just a small collection of it.

Hijab

I started to wear hijab or tudung (a common word use in Malaysia) after three days I've got married. Hubby gave me 2 very sylish tudung which at that time were the latest design. That what he told me. They were yellow and black in color.  Recently, I have changed my tudung style to the shawl kind, like halfmoon shawl. Sisters and friends said I look younger compared to the previous tudung type...ohh feel flattered, love you all !  So, now I'm a big fan of halfmoon shawl. My younger sister has her own brand of shawl 'Sister's Awrah', so every now and then, when there's new design I will just order from her.  Oh I also got to be their part-time model hehe..Here are some photos me wearing 'Sister's Awrah' shawl. The first photo is the old version of my tudung style.
